I was born in Peru. I lived in Cusco and Lima, where I studied Music, Literature and Linguistics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. I used to work as a culture journalist, university assistant, film critic, translator and choir singer. In 2000 Austria became my second home. I graduated as a Magister in Romance Philology at the University of Vienna with a tesis about the film adaption of a Peruvian Neo-Indigenista Novel by J. Ma. Arguedas. In 2006 I enrolled a Master’s in CREATIVE DOCUMENTARY at the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona. I felt in love with DOCUMENTARIES and self-produced my first one (Felipe, come back 67'). 2009 I attended the Aristoteles Workshop in Romania as an editor, and cinematography workshops in the ESCAC of Barcelona and analog film workshops in Filmkoop Wien. I am currently working in my second feature documentary film Hugo Blanco, Deep River with the support of the Federal Chancellery of Austria BKA.
Update 2014/2015 Hugo Blanco, Deep River was selected for the European film development program Archidoc 2014/15 (La Fémis - MEDIA) together with other 9 European documentary films in production. I was selected in 2014/15 in the Mentoring Program from FC-Gloria and I had director Ruth Beckermann as my mentor. I attended the School of Artistic Photography Kubelka.
Languages: Spanish, German, English, Italian (all fluently) and some French.
